Emma qualified in general nursing from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital In 1996. She worked as a nurse both there and in the Mater Hospital for a number of years in various roles and disciplines.

She went on to do her masters MBA (health) and also holds a diploma in Leadership.

She is also an Acupuncturist and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has a busy private practice in both.

Specialist interests are breastfeeding support and womens health.
